My report on Boris Johnson at the UK Covid Inquiry for BBC News
On Wednesday 6th December, I attended the UK Covid Inquiry at Dorland House, London W2 to watch former prime minister Boris Johnson give evidence. I was accompanied by a BBC News camera crew, and interviewed by BBC health correspondent Hugh Pym on my thoughts for the BBC News at Six later that evening.

How Covid left me permanently disabled: "I was actively suicidal" | Sunday Times News

On the worst days, Antony Loveless, 54, and his partner, Claire Hooper, 53, are entirely bedbound. The couple have spent days, weeks, months just motionless. They struggle to cook, burning toast and setting the microwave on fire. They put reminders on their phones but forget why. Recall for names, faces, even the start of a sentence as they’re trying to finish it, dissolve into thin air. The co...

A short look at johnnyglock’s competition trigger and striker package. Almost no pre-travel, a definite wall and a crisp, tactile break (like a glass rod snapping), followed by a very, very short, fast reset.
Blue Light Run at Dusk

As I was about to come off duty at 20:00, we had an emergency blues and twos call from the control room asking for an urgent transfer of blood from the blood bank at the Mater, to a patient at RVH who was bleeding out on the operating table. Join me as I fire up Mike Zero Two for a late-evening dash down Belfast's Crumlin Road and on to a relatively deserted West Link for the short run to the t...

Flashlight is Sent into Space
Переглядів 5 тис.6 років тому
On Wednesday 9th March, I sent one of Olight's 25,000-lumen X9R Marauders 23 miles above the earth into the inky-black vacuum and deathly-cold of near-space to see if it would work. Set to 3,200 lumens, it stayed on for over four hours as it rose into the stratosphere, hit an altitude of 115,000 ft, and then plummeted back to earth encased in ice where it crashed into a 122ft-tall Beech tree.

April 1st, 2018 is a day that will be forever etched into my mind. On impulse four days earlier, I'd phoned Wild Geese Skydive Centre in Coleraine to ask about using the voucher that Carol had bought me for my 50th birthday. They said they had space for me that weekend, so I booked it. We set off at 06:30 on an unseasonably cold morning (it was -3 deg C!) and got to the skydive centre just over...

Doing my IAM tomorrow with the hope of becoming a Blood Biker - your footage is awesome! I'm also from NI
I don't know how the pilot can even talk while pulling 6 g.
No one moved over for you they clearly don’t see you as an emergency vehicle
I believe the pilot in this case was called Martin Pert. He went on to become Red 1 (leader of the Red Arrows) in 2018 for the next 3 years.
By talking it out every step of the way, I guess it puts it all into muscle memory so they could do it all with their eyes closed. It's a good learning technique and simple.
Sorry but i dont think the weather is good at all, Awful blue skys with a huge chance of rain and good weather!
Smooth as silk! No drama! Amazing!
PULL UP PULL UP ALTITUDE ALTITUDE
Amazing flying skills
Fabulous. Fantastic skills. Thank you for defending our Nation and thanks for sharing this video! - Brilliant.
"Do you want these?"
I imagine he has a moustache and a pipe in his Jaguar
❤
I fly these for a living and let me tell you nothing comes close, every time i fly ,the rush is just as good as the first time,,if anyone has thought's of becoming a fighter pilot,,then go for it,you will definitely love it ❤
Blue lights to deliver samples (first delivery) is that really necessary?
Just came across this video, I have to say, this is the BEST first person perspective of the mach loop, it's INCREDIBLE! From taking off, flying through mach loop with no music and cuts, really gives you a more thrilling perspective than waiting on the side of the mountain for a fighter jet to pass by within view for around 5 seconds. The icing on the cake was the fact you had another fellow eurofighter flying in formation with you. Thanks for your service @AntonyLoveless!
0:30 No one has ever said and experienced “8g” so calmly before
I’m here because a delightful book I just finished reading about a pigeon who received inspiration from the murmuration of starlings. It’s for youth. I’m an adult and was captivated by it. It’s called Pigeonholed by Josie Lynn. Great combination of wit and wisdom.
dont EVER do barrel roll at that altitude level in this particular plane.
Amazing. I want your job!
Utmost respect and admiration for our pilots.
0:26 And people still think the earth is flat... 🤦♂
Class
I thought I had been in an accident when one of these beautiful birds buzzed a village I was driving through. The sudden noise/roar from the engine was out of this world. I then had the pleasure of parking up on a hill and watching the rest of the display at the airshow.😊
FLY that basturd, WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !
These guys are kin AWESOME They are the best ... from a Forces Brat
0:25 to all FLAT EARTHERS case closed!!!
World hunger😢 cured for the cost of this flight. Well done boys
I would triple world hunger for this jet
We lived in Glen Nevis, wife and I went for a walk part way up the Ben Nevis mountain path, when an RAF Harrier went past, below us. The wife said "darling, I think we have gone to high when I can look down into a planes cockpit"
You just can't box tick for this job. Only the best can do this. There is too much at stake.
What a mind blowing ride!!!!! Thank you!
You cant beat sitting dangling your legs outside of a Westland Wessex helicopter 212kph just 250 feet off the ground, although no longer in service with the RAF it was a good all round multi service machine. I was one of the lucky ones and miss that experience.
Thank goodness there are people, like this, who do this. So proud of them all.
Remember watching Vulcan bombers from above, flying low through the valleys of the Cheviot hills, truly awesome.
What's the gear speed& g limitations
Seems like a perfect job for Jeremy DeWitt lol.......
This pilot is awesome and i don't mean his skills. His speech... is so informative, clear, intonative and yet calm. It was a pleasure to watch this video.
this is narrated post edit - there is a more complete video without the narration with actual cockpit audio, also the jet sounds of the wingman are edited in. still impressive video ofc.
@@homoerot03it sounds like it’s contemporaneous to me given that his speech is g affected.
Exhilarating , done that , I had a 2 string stunt kite , i flew it in moderate winds gusting up to 50kph You have got to keep tight lines and a clear focus on where you are going . well done team 🙂 I should say , these were the original stunt kites '' Peter Powell '' literally we were their test & stunt pilots .......it would not be allowed now will all the aviation and health and safety protocols ..🙂
Some people have all the luck.
I would love to know what did it take to get here im trying to decide if i want to start with collage education on it as im 13 trying to get in the RAF by 19 yrs i want to know was it hard and what qualifications did you have to make it in there also what gcses you took
I can take you through exactly what it takes to get into this cockpit. You do not need to have straight A*s or a 1st from Cambridge.
@@ProcellaVasti explain what you mean, i know you need atleast 5 Cs or something im not sure if its changed
Magnificent. Bravo 👏
Where can I buy a ticket?
‘kin hell, that was good !
wow. well done man. you're living the dream
Passed i.studies❤
Very sad. When it really mattered, guys were puking up with fear when they scrambled during the Battle of Britain. Play acting for the crowd like this shouldn't impress anyone apart from halfwits, surely?
I take it you're impressed then?
What a stupid comment.
Fear not. When it really matters our boys are also on their game.
What are you gibbering about? 1. This isn’t play acting. It’s a serious low level exercise of the type conducted by most NATO air forces. 2. Those boys you are sneering at were the only air force to meet the full strength of the Luftwaffe head on and prevail. They went into battle heavily outnumbered and won the day. So maybe you should keep your cou del lest someone has a little look at what your airforce has achieved.
Fucking Incredible
Looks like lots of fun. Excellent narration too.
That transition at 0:46 was so clean that I didn't notice at first!
Typhoon without the Euro…. Btw…
It was never called eurotyphoon. It still is Eurofighter Typhoon. Another brexitard which hasn’t realised how badly it’s gone.
